We were put up in this hotel as part of our easyjet weekend break, great location, nice staff, excellent breakfast and clean rooms! Loads of local food outlets and shops as well as easy access to transport. Well worth staying at if looking for a suitable hotel and location.

Wonderful experience for a 3 night stay. We liked the location, with plenty of restaurants and easy access to the u bahn. The room was small but well appointed and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of European and American offerings.

Decent bargain hotel, off the beaten tourist track

First the location. Hotel is in Charlottenburg, a middle-class residential neighborhood in the northwestern part of Berlin, not near most of the usual tourist attractions. On the other hand, it is a short walk from both the subway (U-Bahn) and the Elevated (S-Bahn), with which you can get to the main tourist sites in about 20 -30 minutes. With these, you also have good access to the airport, the main railroad station, and, should you want it, the central bus station. The hotel has parking, albeit rather expensive. The street on which the hotel is located, Wilmersdorfer Strasse, is a shopping street. On it and on the side streets you can find every kind of store, cafe, fast-food and sitdown restaurant imaginable. Right across from the hotel on the side street where the hotel entrance is located, Spielhagenstrasse, there were two excellent restaurants: a small, family-run Italian place and a wine-bar with a limited food menu, but very nice specials. Each had very tasty food at reasonable prices. The hotel itself. Clientele seem to be mostly business travelers, of the less fancy variety. There were also a a fair number of German tourists and family groups, perhaps going to an event at the main Berlin Expo Center [Messehalle] which is nearby. The room was small, if reasonably furnished, albeit without a lot of storage space for clothes. If you are staying for any length of time, you will need to live out of a suitcase. The bathroom was small and cramped. While the fixtures all worked, I kept bumping into the faucet and turning off the water while in the shower--and I am not a large person. The mattress was a little saggy. TV was good (all German-language channels) and the Wifi worked fine, although it was unsecured. The breakfast buffet, which was included in my room rate (this differs from guest to guest) was excellent, a true highpoint of the hotel. There was a very wide variety of sweet and savory and hot and cold items. (Americans might like to know that scrambled eggs and bacon were included.) Breakfast there kept me going until mid- to late-afternoon, which was good, because my business in Berlin took me to places where there weren't many lunch opportunities. The hotel has its own bar, which is open evenings and looked quite pleasant, although I never got around to having a drink at it. Service was generally good (staff does speak English), particularly nice at the breakfast buffet. I did have a problem with the remote control and the TV, which was eventually resolved, although it took three days. This is Berlin, so there's plenty to do, and I didn't really need the TV, but the issue should have been addressed sooner. The price is extremely reasonable. It would be impossible to find anything comparable in Paris, London, NY, Amsterdam, Rome or any large Western European or North American city. So, if you are in Berlin, don't mind being a bit off the beaten-track, and are looking for a good budget hotel deal, this would be a place for you.

Comfortable hotel in a great location. Really good value for money and very clean and modern. Staff were friendly and the hotel bar was small but well stocked. Metro only a couple of minutes walk. Plenty of shops and bars nearby .

Great little hotel, staff were fantastic, very helpful, breakfast was good fully stocked although it was very busy. I would def return to this hotel. Room we stayed in 649 was a little dated, I think the bathroom had been refurb recently, but great value for money, close to the U ban so you can get anywhere in Berlin
